HAPPY MOTHERS DAY - Best Things my Mom ever told me or shared with me. (Just to name a few)

1) "Eat the meat and throw the bone away".

My Understanding: Not every message, lecture, teaching is entirely for you to retain and use in your life. Sometimes it's a word or a sentence, but you should only take and embrace what speaks to your heart and spirit. If you disagree with it...i.e. church sermon, it's okay because that doesn't have to be for you.

3)Don't have babies and get married until you're 30

My Understanding: Funny because I've past the 30 year mark with no babies and no husband. I didn't understand what the big deal was when I was a kid but NOW..... I get it. Live your life , Learn, Travel, get a job, start a career, GROW UP, get some experience,have fun, be single, date, party, live alone, save money THEN commit to a Marriage and raising a family.

4)Keep your legs closed, Boys only want one thing!!

My Understanding THEN: Boys are bad....Sex is bad. My Understanding NOW: This will save your from a lot of emotional trauma, heart breaks, STDs, unwanted pregnancies,unwanted baby daddy(ies),single parenthood. And it has. GO MOM!!

5)You're beautiful just as you are.

My Understanding THEN: I had no real thoughts or feelings about it. It was a normal thing to hear "You're beautiful" My Understanding NOW: You're special and timeless. God made you this way and that makes me even more special. No one else in the world has this face and personality and spirit. I am one of a Kind. Models and Actresses and Singers are no better than you are. Be yourself and embrace your beauty!

6) When you get married, GIRL when you're cleaning up the house and he's sitting there watching TV....throw on some booty shorts and high heels and cook him dinner.

My Understanding: Be sexy for your man because like all men, he operates on the visual. He doesn't want to always (maybe never) see his woman in sweats and a large T-shirt with a head scarf.

7) Talk to your kid(s)...All the time. Turn off the radio/TV/Video games and talk. Be Proactive and not Reactive.

My Understanding: It's in my control that my Kid(s) do not RUN RAPID and out of control. Teach them Young so that when they are older they will not depart from your teachings. Start fresh out of the womb...the teaching should began.

  Did you know that you can have peace even in the midst of difficult times? Many people are trying to get rid of their problems, hoping they will then be happy. Then they can start enjoying their lives. But God wants us to learn to have peace in the midst of the storms. You can be in a storm , but don't let the storm get in you. You have been made in the image of God. Learn to live above your circumstances. 

  God has a higher perpective. 

   God is on your side. There's nothing too difficult for God to handle. Lay aside anything 

Weighing you down, so you can live free from worry , frustration, or discouragement knowing that God is in complete control. You were made to soar, you were made for more.

To Smudge or NOT to Smudge.....

I'm gonna smudge!

What am I talking about you ask?
It's a spiritual house cleaning or self cleaning, office cleaning, car cleaning etc.

The entire process does not take long to do, and you will feel the effects immediately.

What's crazy is...I've only smudged my house twice. The first time OMG...ish hit the fan with my Ex-boyfriend and our drama, then we parted ways.

The 2nd time...ish hit the fan, this is years later 5-6 years later. That incident is still pending as I type.
Get some sage, see picture. Not sure where you would get it... My mother gave me a long thing of it. You will need to light it until it's thoroughly lit.

I say a prayer while I'm walking around my entire house. I pray for what I desire, especially in my house. Peace, Love...all that stuff.

I believe even with the intent to release the negativity, will offer results as well.


NOW...So smudge at your own risk because what you're doing is getting rid of negative energy, negative spirits and that can mean unleashing it in order to rid you life of it.

Put on your calm music and  start off by saying a prayer or blessing for your home, thanking God for keeping you safe and secure. Ask that all the negative energy be replaced by positivity and love.   It is essential that when something is released, it be replaced, so whenever you use the words “release” remember to follow with “replace.”   If you do not replace, anything can drop into the released area, so being specific is helpful.

Let the experience lead you. If you want to cry, cry! If you want to holler, holler! WHATEVER IS IN YOU GET IT OUT, because we may be holding bad energy within us too but at the same time be good, loving, and Godly people. YOU FEEL ME?

Thats it! Yes you hair and house will smell smokey but it will dissipate.


My entire life I’d been taught to run from anything that is not Christian, doesn’t have Jesus at the center, or hints of witchcraft. And yes, the last thing I want to do is invite any kind of evil into my life or home...THE LAST THING. But after doing some research on smudging and having done it before – cleansing my home with sage – I began to see that the process, the mindset and the desire to connect with positivity is no different than what might happen in a church. If I was Catholic, for example, I might invite a priest to come to my house and bless it – with incense and holy water, right?
Bless your house, cleanse your house of bad energy so that you can live peacefully, without sadness, anger and pain etc.
